Dr. Sourav Ray is a Board-Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist with subspecialty (dual board) certification in Dermatopathology. He serves as Vice-Chair of Pathology for Sutter Health’s MPMC Division and oversees anatomic pathology quality assurance. In his role as liaison to the Patient Safety and Quality committee, he also has extensive experience in integrated multidisciplinary diagnostics with a focus on tumor boards and serves on the system-wide Integrated Network Cancer Program.
Prior to joining PPMG Sourav was a resident and fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center during a golden era when he was fortunate enough to learn directly from the world’s foremost pathologists such as E. Leon Barnes, Steven H. Swerdlow, and Samuel Yousem.
Sourav resides in San Francisco with his partner, 3 kids, and a dog. He has a special interest in beer, tennis, and the intersection of Eastern and Western forms of music (not necessarily in that order).
